Next generation robot: Botnia SR5

The design for 5th generation of Botnia robot SR5 has started.

The new SR5 design will incorporate with latest FPGA and tailored drive mechanism for completely maintenance-free operations. Similar techniques will be also applied to improve the performance of current SR4 to become brand new SR4E.

 

In addition, Botnia Vision will move to FireWire interface. The reason is not because of the performance of old analog capturing but the oversize of the analog cameras and shortage of FOV (Field of View) of the old camera lenses.
